Allergic rhinitis, also commonly referred to as hay fever or allergies, is the result of the body’s exaggerated immune response to environmental allergens. This exaggerated immune response results in inflammation of the nasal or sinus membranes which present as nasal congestion, sneezing, itchy nose, eyes and throat, cough, and sinus pressure.
